My Story
Born in Iowa, graduated from The University of Kansas in 2005 with an art education degree. I taught elementary art until I took a mobile job working in the GPS transport world. I studied and traveled to many countries, eventually landing in Nottingham, UK. The economy in 2008 ended the contract early and into a cubicle I was thrown. It took me 3 years to get into KU MED. Graduated in 2014 with honors for occupational therapy. I had planned on pediatric therapy until my dad, Gary Fiscus, passed on from male breast cancer.
I started my new grad OT work in Dallas Tx, eventually moving back to the KC metro when I had 2 children.
Ironically, I didn't plan on working in the oncology world. I earned my certified lymphedema therapist badge in 2015 and have served on a NAPBC board for the last 7 years in providing high quality breast cancer care in Kansas city.
Along the way, I earned a Certified Stroke Rehab Specialist certification and Usui Reiki level II certification. I am an advanced practitioner in lymphatic health, working in homes, clinics, hospitals, and now proudly for Sunflower NeuroLymph Therapy.

I have been in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and management for 20 years. I have always been a very intuitive leader. I am frustrated with the increasing amount of restrictions in providing good, quality care. Let's change that.

Breast Cancer related swelling, Head and Neck Cancers, pediatric and primary lymphedema, axillary cording syndrome, advanced fibrosis techniques, and physical agent modalities. BPLC board member following NAPBC standards since 2019.
Kinesio Tape, modalities specialist.
NLN advanced practitioner, Klose trained CLT. I fit custom compression, off the shelf compression, and obtain vasolymphatic pneumatic pumps for lipedema and lymphedema.
